Post Setting up a Linux-based DAW (Digital Audio Workstation)
I don't have much time to expand on this right now, but I picked up the Autumn 2009 issue of Computer Music Magazine (The Essential Guide 2009: House) today. Inside, there's an article called "Build a Linux DAW." When time allows, I'm going to go through their tutorial (for which I will have to actually install Linux on my computer) and discuss the process here. This might not be for a while. I'll have to see.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with. If you need any help or advice don't hesitate to hit me up. (for instance, don't use a page partition when installing ubuntu, just use a page file later on. It will make uninstalling on OS X conceivable, if not possible).
